More energetic visitors can also follow the Vélodyssée, the cycling route that runs along the Atlantic coast between La Rochelle and Châtelaillon-Plage — an easy 15 km ride with stunning ocean views.

La Rochelle, just minutes away

La Rochelle, only 20 minutes from the hotel, is packed with treasures to discover: museums, historic monuments and must-see landmarks. The La Rochelle Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, is an unmissable visit, as are the medieval towers of the Old Port (Tour Saint-Nicolas, Tour de la Chaîne, Tour de la Lanterne) and the central market, renowned for its local produce. It's an ideal getaway for a half-day or a full day, easily reached by car, by train from Châtelaillon-Plage station, or even by bike.

The summer season brings the resort to life with markets, workshops, and musical and festive events. The popular markets of Châtelaillon-Plage open several times a week, offering moments of connection and discovery with local producers.

Access from La Rochelle

By car — It takes about 20 minutes to reach the centre of La Rochelle from the hotel, via the D737 exit just 5 minutes away.

By train — Châtelaillon-Plage station, a 3-minute walk from the hotel, is directly connected to La Rochelle station in just a few minutes. A great way to visit the city without worrying about parking.

By plane — La Rochelle–Île de Ré Airport is 20 minutes from the hotel.

By bike — The more energetic can follow the Vélodyssée, the cycling route that runs along the Atlantic coast: about 15 km separate La Rochelle from Châtelaillon-Plage, an easy, flat ride along the seafront taking a little under an hour, with lovely ocean views all along the way.
